Anwar - Threat to National Security

The Prime Minister, Ahmad Abdullah Badawi ("AAB"), has labelled Anwar Ibrahim, the Opposition leader, as a threat to the national security and economy.

I viewed this statement as a threat by instituting the Internal Security Act ("ISA") on Anwar again. Just because Anwar is a beefing up strong supports that could lead to a takeover of the government, AAB felt that his position being the PM threatened. It's alright one my PM.

When the Opposition party is riling up supports and seems to be taking over the present government, does it mean that the Opposition is threatening the national security? Come on. Be real man.

Hasn't our PM read how the oppositions have taken over the governments in various countries namely, Australia, South Korea, Pakistan and Taiwan. If such change of government is being warranted as a threat then United Kingdom and USA would see war in every election as different political parties have been ruling the two nations for the last few decades.

Mind you, Mr PM. If you and your team of cabinet ministers have managed the economy so well, whatever situation wouldn't have threatened it. Just look at Singapore and Hong Kong, two good examples for you and your team to emulate but no concrete economic policy was done to secure our economy. And you chose to grab Anwar as the scapegoat for the failure of the economy?

The real threat is when the nation is governed and managed by incompetent politicians who are not experienced in the respective ministries.

Politically, Malaysia is still a baby ...........

agree with you completely. grown men nowadays are behaving in the way kids react when someone else snatches their toy.
Pathetically, these are the people running our country.
