Rare Malaysian Animal

This three persons have been the grabbing the mainstream media's headlines for the past one week. They were originally voted into the Perak state assembly in last year's general election held in March 2008, under opposition parties' banners.

In February 2009, barely a year after the election, they thought it was best to be independent. What a farce!

Hee Yit Foong, the lady who has been appointed as Perak's state deputy speaker wouldn't even dare dream to have this position at all in her life and I guessed that things got too big for her to handle.

Out of personal issues with the Perak state government, she decided to forego even the struggles of her political party of twenty two years which was DAP. Together with her resignation from the DAP plus the other two PKR members, namely Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi and Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu, it has caused the Pakatan Rakyat or People's Alliance coalition to lose the whole state government to Barisan Nasional.

People in her constituency are mad with her now for being part of this farce. Saying goes that she has betrayed her supporters and friends. Her immediate family members are afraid to go out in the public and police reports were made in the interest of their safety. Food stall operators in the wet market didn't want to sell food to Hee' mother in the wet market. Hee's pictures are seen being burnt in the open. She did this because of personal issues and couldn't care less about the people that voted for her during the election. I wonder what was her election manifesto.

The people in Perak have regarded them as the froggies now, hopping from one place to another, a rare breed of animal. A call has even been made to make frog statues for these Malaysian politicians in resemblance to the one made for the USA presidents at Mount Rushmore ........... haha

These three persons countered all those votes thrown in in electing them to represent the people in those respective constituencies. I can feel how those Perakians are feeling ........... not only Perakians but KL folks are talking about it .......... not for it of course.

Barisan Nasional has decided not to seek the public's mandate and went on to claim the Perak's administration by getting these three so-called independent politicians, to side them.

Even the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam), has called for a fresh state-wide election in Perak. Suhakam has also questioned the Ruler of Sultan on his agreement in allowing Barisan Nasional to take over the Perak state government.

There are four party hoppers actually ............. the last fella from the Bota constituency does not deserve any mention of his name in my blog ........... he's a total disgrace.

The day he left Barisan Nasional on 26 Jan 2009 for Pakatan Rakyat, he quoted this - “I believe PKR and its partners in Pakatan Rakyat are able to be a better coalition of component parties for the people’s benefit.”

The day he decided to leave Pakatan Rakyat back to Barisan Nasional (bearing in mind he did this within ten days), he quoted this - “After considering the advice and views of my political partners and those who would like to see a stable political situation and government in Perak, I’m returning to Umno and the Barisan Nasional”

Whatever it is, the Malaysians can say whatever they want for whichever parties they support but should refrain from violence that could throw the country into disarray and thus, causing an even worse economy. They are just politicians!
