Beginning of House Renovation

Decided to award the backyard extension job to D'S Reno and Construction. The owner, Mr. Kok, has executed a number of house renovations at the same development and I have seen his output at those houses with good feedback as well from those house owners. Price is reasonable too.

Two walls went down leaving the last one standing. That will go when the contractor has erected the wall behind the house. Otherwise nothing to prevent unwanted people from entering the house.

What kind of water ponding was that? The contractor told me they had forgotten to off the main water tap outside the house when they disconnected the pipings earlier ...... good thing this happened on ground floor.

And I'm changing the area's flooring anyway.

At this point when the ground was dug, the workers actually waited for me to arrive at the site to check on how it was done before they continue with their works. Of course, I did request for the contractor to call me.

One of the experienced workers then explained to me his method of constructing this backyard extension.

Nowadays, DBKL requires you to display all the approvals on a place where the DBKL officers can view it when they come for spot checks.

Targetted completion date for this mess - end Sept 09. All fingers and toes crossed hehe
