Renovation in Good Progress
House renovation in good progress with the main entrance being extended a bit to the front. The flooring at that extended portion has yet to be done.
All walls down and the window located at the supposedly dry kitchen has been erected too. Plastering of the walls, after the air cond and electrician fellas have finished their works, should be done by this weekend.Went over to Ga Hing Trading Sdn Bhd this afternoon to confirm the delivery of all the tiles by next Wednesday. Tilings should be completed by next weekend. Then the Interior Designer will commence her works right after that.
I was like a "full time contractor" since Monday afternoon immediately after I landed at KLIA. Running here/there to various suppliers and squat together with the renovation workers while supplying fresh blood to the mosquitoe community every now and then.
Everyone was wearing long pants except me. Guess where the mosquitoe community held their parties?
Picture taken at back lane. Both next door neighbours have not done anything to their units yet. One of the neighbours actually asked whether I would be make good of the wall at his side .... hehe. Of course!
That nicely wrapped stainless steel door from Smart Home Solution, supplied & installed at a price of RM2,000, was strongly embedded into the surrounding brick wall with steel rods going deep into the side walls.My contractor was saying that in order to break through that door that comes with sophisticated locking system, the robber has to bring the whole wall down.
One advise to all potential house owners, do not rush into paying deposits for anything that you like unless you need it by next week or so. Do not be duped or convinced by the dealers or distributors on the pretext of big sales, big discounts .... now or never. All this are just pure sales gimmicks.
I have just ordered the wall/floor tiles on Tuesday and it will be delivered by next Wednesday. I ordered the stainless steel door two weeks ago and it was installed last Friday.
