Preserve the Multi-Racial Society

Walked to the nearby small scale Ramadan Bazaar at my residential area to grab those wonderful food prepared by malay stall owners.

During the fasting month for the muslims, food stalls would be set up to cater for the muslims living at the Taman Desa / Taman Danau Desa, a chinese majority area.
Saliva drooling and I was lost in choosing which food to buy for my dinner.

Not more than twenty stalls were there to serve the community. Notice that I mentioned the word community.

The customers comprise all walks of life - the malays, chinese, indians, foreigners and people from out of town.

This pakcik was preparing murtabak (RM2.50) where it was stuffed with chicken and potatoes fillings.

Bought various types of food and food stall owners were smiling and greeting everyone. You'll be amazed with the atmosphere.

Malaysia's uniqueness is in its multi-racial society but there are certain people who are willing and ready to see it destroyed for reasons only known to them. The recent issue of relocating an indian temple prompted anger and hatred in the hearts of certain muslims living in that area and the residents brought a cow's head right up to the Selangor state government's office to protest. To the indians, a cow is sacred to them and by parading the cow's head was really a non-tolerance act.

To this group of people, I'm really amused by your action. Are you foreigners who had just landed on Malaysia? I have been brought up living in the city of Kuala Lumpur amongst people from all walks of life, be they poor, rich, tall, short, fat, thin, a malay, indian, from the Sabah or Sarawak tribes, educated, uneducated, snobbish, unhelpful, grateful ........ and just for this relocation of an indian temple, you are ready to destroy the peacefulness????!?!?!?!

I really need to see your identification cards to see if you are really a Malaysian?

On the positive note, a large number of people from various religious backgrounds offered prayers for the nation in conjunction with Malaysia's 52nd National Day today.

In view of the said incident, our Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, has to urge the citizens to stay united in his National Day message.

The sad part is when the Prime Minister needs to tell the Malaysians to tear down any divisive walls among the races. Why is that necessary after achieving independence for 52 years?

I really hope that the Prime Minister is true with his words and Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein has to hold to his words as well. Hishamuddin said that the goverment will take stern action against any group that tries to create racial tension. Let's start with the group that paraded the cow's head last week. Will you? I don't think so.

Will he take action against a particular national malay language newspaper which has published detrimental articles on racial issues lately? No, he won't.

Whether you are from the ruling party or the opposition parties, as long as you are playing a fool with the racial issue it could be devastating as what had happened in former Yugoslavia or Rwanda.

To this day, the short video produced by the late Yasmin Ahmad has captured the hearts of many many Malaysians but not the politicians and/or greedy people - No Barriers Between Children.

Malaysia can grow even stronger but grow only if the Malaysians are willing to stand together and reject such extremisms.

By a Bangsa Malaysia who is proud to be a Malaysian from day one. Glad that Malaysia is celebrating its 52nd Independence Day and let's hope for a better 53rd Independence Day.

H1N1 Full Proof?

There was once an employee who would go great length to obtain the employee of the month's award.

With the recent worldwide health scare due to H1N1 disease, another employee has decided to be extremely cautious about it.

I'm quite sure this fella would full proof from the H1N1 disease.

Renovation in Good Progress

House renovation in good progress with the main entrance being extended a bit to the front. The flooring at that extended portion has yet to be done.

All walls down and the window located at the supposedly dry kitchen has been erected too. Plastering of the walls, after the air cond and electrician fellas have finished their works, should be done by this weekend.

Went over to Ga Hing Trading Sdn Bhd this afternoon to confirm the delivery of all the tiles by next Wednesday. Tilings should be completed by next weekend. Then the Interior Designer will commence her works right after that.

I was like a "full time contractor" since Monday afternoon immediately after I landed at KLIA. Running here/there to various suppliers and squat together with the renovation workers while supplying fresh blood to the mosquitoe community every now and then.

Everyone was wearing long pants except me. Guess where the mosquitoe community held their parties?

Picture taken at back lane. Both next door neighbours have not done anything to their units yet. One of the neighbours actually asked whether I would be make good of the wall at his side .... hehe. Of course!

That nicely wrapped stainless steel door from Smart Home Solution, supplied & installed at a price of RM2,000, was strongly embedded into the surrounding brick wall with steel rods going deep into the side walls.

My contractor was saying that in order to break through that door that comes with sophisticated locking system, the robber has to bring the whole wall down.

One advise to all potential house owners, do not rush into paying deposits for anything that you like unless you need it by next week or so. Do not be duped or convinced by the dealers or distributors on the pretext of big sales, big discounts .... now or never. All this are just pure sales gimmicks.

I have just ordered the wall/floor tiles on Tuesday and it will be delivered by next Wednesday. I ordered the stainless steel door two weeks ago and it was installed last Friday.

Pro Movers in Khartoum

What's that guy doing up there? I thought I saw a long pole hanging there.

True enough that a long pole was being pulled up. My friend was saying that hiring a crane would have done the job in one hour. Maybe they tried to save cost.

Few strong men at the road on ground zero. They pulled not only one but about a dozen of it. They took turns to jump higher up the thick rope and hoped that their weights would make pole go higher.

I saw one of smaller size guy jumping up to pull but the rope didn't budge hahahahaha. He held on to the rope and his feet were dangling. If I could have capture the whole scene many people would be rolling on the floors.

Meteorology Report in Australia

It was April and the Aboriginals in a remote part of Northern Australia asked their new elder if the coming winter was going to be cold or mild.

Since he was an elder in a modern community he had never been taught the old secrets. When he looked at the sky he couldn't tell what the winter was going to be like. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he told his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the tribe should collect firewood to be prepared.

But being a practical leader, after several days he had an idea.He walked out to the telephone booth on the highway, called the Bureau of Meteorology and asked, 'Is the coming winter in this area going to be cold?'

The meteorologist responded, 'It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold.' So the elder went back to his people and told them to collect even more wood in order to be prepared.

A week later he called the Bureau of Meteorology again. 'Does it still look like it is going to be a very cold winter?'

The meteorologist again replied, 'Yes, it's going to be a very cold winter.' The elder again went back to his community and ordered them to collect every scrap of firewood they could find.

Two weeks later the elder called the Bureau again. 'Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?' he asked.'

Absolutely,' the man replied. 'It's looking more and more like it is going to be one of the coldest winters ever.

''How can you be so sure?' the elder asked.

The weatherman replied, 'Our satellites have reported that the Aboriginals in the north
are collecting firewood like crazy, and that's always a sure sign.'

Viagra in Liquid Form

Went to Beetles cafe after dinner yesterday and thought of having some fresh fruit juice for a change. But I saw something unexpectedly, the Viagra in liquid form!?!?!?!?! And if Viagra is not strong enough, they have the Super Viagra ready for you hahaha.

Don't know why they name it Viagra as the ingredient itself comprise Dates, Honey, Milk & Ice Cream. The Super Viagra drink comprise Watercress, Dates, Banana & Kiwi fruits. Weird!

No, I didn't order the Viagra drinks ...... no point.

I tried the Batout instead. Now, when I saw that word I pronounced it as "Bat" "Out" to the waiter. He looked at me blur blur. I repeated my order and he said something else after I pointed the name of the drink to him. He might not be able to catch my english slang I thought.

When he repeated our orders, he read something which stunned me. He pronounced the drink as "Ba" "Tout". You tell me who's correct.

After the waiter left our table, we laughed. Looking at the menu again, almost all the drinks are in english names. How in the world could he pronounced the drink as Ba Tout instead of Bat Out!?!??!?!?!

Respectful Public Title of Datuk

There is a myth about people in Malaysia having the opportunity to buy the public title of Datukship or even Tan Sri if you have the right connection with either the state government or federal government.

Why is such title so important? Such public title will place you high in the eyes of the public where such title holders are usually well to do people, having done lots of stuff that have benefitted the nation/state or did some extraordinary stuff while representing the nation/state's name.

Nevertheless, some people do deserve such title.

Some may abuse such title to further achieve their selfish ambitions or to enable them to carry out immoral / unlawful acts without being questioned or detected easily.

Reading the Star newspaper reports - Five Ah Long ‘kings’ nabbed and Datuk faces death penalty for drug trafficking, two persons with the public title of Datuk have been implicated.

I wonder when were these two Datuks been bestowed with the public title, before they became involved in such notorious crimes or when they were already involved in it? And which state government granted this public title to them? Or was it even the federal government? No personal profile checkings before issuing such high public titles to them?

It made such public title to be of no value if more Datuks are implicated in various crimes. Or is the myth real after all?

Fancy Winning a Bentley or Lambo?

Dubai airport's Dubai Duty Free section is really good with their promotion of getting travellers in buying the raffles tickets. Two thousand tickets on sale at 500 Dirham ..... a one in how many chance???

Imagine your grand prize is either a Bentley Continental Flying Spur or .....

..... a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560.

How not to be tempted when you see such prestige car models. No, I wasn't tempted.

Only one reason - a general Malaysian citizen will not be able to fork the enough money to pay for all those import taxes and other crazy duties to bring this car back to Malaysia if I do win it.

It was not easy to take this picture without anyone interrupting. It was so eye catching and grabbing everyone's attention.

I will usually get a seat way back the plane for my Dubai-Khartoum or Khartoum-Dubai flights. The plane is normally not full and I'll choose the row where there are three seats.

You'll normally get the whole three seats to yourself. Seldom sleep either but the comfort of having nobody next to you coupled with the armrest is priceless.

Moreover the plane's so-called kitchen is usually located at the back of the plane. No, not that I can chit chat with the pretty stewardesses but I can get my non-stop flow of drinks throughout the flight. Sipping your favourite drinks while watching a movie ................ back home, I won't get such luxury time to enjoy as such.

Not sure how long will I be in Khartoum for this trip but me and another colleague brought along more than a dozen DVD movies to watch.

Beginning of House Renovation

Decided to award the backyard extension job to D'S Reno and Construction. The owner, Mr. Kok, has executed a number of house renovations at the same development and I have seen his output at those houses with good feedback as well from those house owners. Price is reasonable too.

Two walls went down leaving the last one standing. That will go when the contractor has erected the wall behind the house. Otherwise nothing to prevent unwanted people from entering the house.

What kind of water ponding was that? The contractor told me they had forgotten to off the main water tap outside the house when they disconnected the pipings earlier ...... good thing this happened on ground floor.

And I'm changing the area's flooring anyway.

This is the wall the contractor is trying to erect.

At this point when the ground was dug, the workers actually waited for me to arrive at the site to check on how it was done before they continue with their works. Of course, I did request for the contractor to call me.

One of the experienced workers then explained to me his method of constructing this backyard extension.

Deep enough??

Full protection for my laminated flooring all the way up to 2nd floor.

Nowadays, DBKL requires you to display all the approvals on a place where the DBKL officers can view it when they come for spot checks.

Targetted completion date for this mess - end Sept 09. All fingers and toes crossed hehe

Sim Card Malfunctioned - Whose Fault?

Replaced my mobile's sim card just last week at Maxis Centre located at Menara Maxis. The sim card just got KO on its own without warning. For almost five days, I was hoping for it to return back to normal and trying to arrange for a time to go to a Maxis Centre to check on the sim card.

It was unbearable with your sim card giving you problem. After work, off to Maxis Centre and approach the Hotlink counter after filling in a form.

Staff: May I help you sir?
Me: I think my sim card is not functioning at all. This is the message I'll get on my screen. (showing him the mobile screen)
Staff: Let me check your info first. I think your card has been issued for quite some time back.
Me: Yeah, maybe two years ago.
Staff: Time to change. Have you filled in the form to request for a sim card replacement?
Me: Yes!
Staff: RM10 is required for the sim card replacement.
Me: Why do I have to pay? It's your sim card that malfunctioned.
Staff: The sim card has been in used for so long. Various reasons could have contributed to it. Say the method of charging your mobile phone, sim card was not taken care of, your mobile's circuit may have caused the damage or someone could have mishandled your sim card.
Me: The sim card has an expiry date? Still it's your sim card that malfunctioned.
Staff: That's the company policy sir!

In my mind at that point of time, he has named more faults of mine than I could of his. So, he won? I'm the guilty party since all those reasons could have contributed to the demise of my sim card.

Why can't Maxis take the blame? Another sim card of mine from another telco has been working well for almost ten years now.

It's not the RM10 that I'm so attached to but it's more of a principal.

PTAs Asking For Status Quo

Parents are voicing out now since they knew that their kids' PTAs could be used as an official channel to request the gahmen or the Ministry of Education to allow their kids' schools to remain status quo, i.e. to teach the Mathematics and Science subjects in the English language instead of reversing it back to the Malay language.

What to do? The gahmen went ahead without consulting the parents at schools. They are the ones that should be consulted but who cares about them. That's the gahmen that some have voted for and I hope that those voters are not the same people that are voting for the two subjects to be taught in English language now.

As PAGE has highlighted a possible avenue for PTAs to voice out their preferences, which was the school'one school did it via a PTA EGM as written in a previous blogpost.

Another school tried to do the same but was not that fortunate. The school authority of SMK Seri Hartamas managed to lock the school and bar those parents from entering the school premise to conduct the PTA meeting. The parents were adamant about the vote and it was conducted outside the school premise where majority of the parents that responded (more than 90%) voted for status quo.

The heat is picking ........ Malaysia's Deputy Prime Minister apologised in a press conference saying that the parents or teachers shouldn't have been barred from entering the school to convene a PTA meeting.

On the other hand, the education ministry’s director-general Alimuddin Mohd Dom, has other feelings about it. Reason given - the PTA was not allowed to convene an EGM as its agenda to discuss the PPSMI policy placed the school’s teachers in a tight spot.

Now, more of the schools' PTAs are joining in .......... they are from SMK St Francis, SMK Gajah Berang, SMK Tinggi St David, SMK Canossa Convent, SMK Infant Jesus Convent, SM Catholic, SMJK Tinggi Cina, AM Yok Bin, SMK Tun Tuah, SM Pulau Sebang, Sekolah Tinggi Methodist Melaka and SMK (P) Methodist Melaka.

Is the gahmen or the education ministry doing anything about those requests? Or turn a deaf ear?

Internet Censorship in Malaysia

Suddenly the Malaysian gahmen wants to patrol the internet. Trying to assist parents or guardians who seem to have failed in controlling the kids under their care as the gahmen seems to know that the kids or even the adults are patronising porn websites unceasingly 24/7.

Out of care, the gahmen wants to filter and censor the internet for your own good.

China almost did implement a similar care programme by filtering the internet and tried to block access to various porn websites. The project was called Green Dam and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology was determined to do so with effect from 1 July 2009. Somehow the dam burst as highlighted in the headlines of PC World.

This China project was objected by twenty two chambers of commerce and trade groups from the United States, Europe and Japan and internal protests were increasing. The good intention brought about was met with bad news - it made computers opened to malicious attacks and infiltration from hackers.

In Malaysia, this similar plan could be a one-off kind of thing being discussed somewhere amongst the gahmen decision makers. The moment this piece of news was released, it was met with strong protests.

Just recently, the gahmen announced that a national High-Speed Broadband would be in place within the next sixteen months making internet available to everyone wherever you are in Malaysia. With this project, the gahmen hoped to increase internet broadband penetration by 50% by end 2010.

Funny to have this kind of idea to crop up when the Multimedia Super Corridor (Malaysia's version of the Silicon Valley) that houses many foreign technology related companies have agreed to a number guarantees before setting up their regional offices in Malaysia. One of the guarantees - Ensure no Internet censorship.

Maybe with this high speed thingy, the gahmen is worried that undesired info would be shared at a much faster speed especially those political related stuff as highligted in Malaysian Insider's story - Proposed Internet filter prompts criticism.

One of the reasons for the Malaysian gahmen to commence this internet filter was to prevent internet access to undesirable websites. What kind of undesirable websites? Undesirable to the gahmen? Or undesirable to the ruling political party? Or undesirable to certain politicians? The Malaysiakini website did state that the need to do so was on the grounds of maintaining racial harmony in the multicultural nation. Which is which now?

It could happen anytime as four companies have submitted their bids with the successful tenderer to do the following:-

* to evaluate the readiness and feasibility for the implementation of Internet filter at Internet gateway level, through assessments on the existing infrastructure and existing products in the market.

* to evaluate and estimate costs for the implementation.

* to study the existing legal framework in addressing content filtering and no censorship issue, including the impacts that are caused by the implementation to Internet users and the Malaysian economy.

* to visit Internet services providers (ISPs) and question them on various issues apart from studying countries which have some form of Internet filters to study the suitability for the Malaysian environment.

My say - we are just moving backwards. Firstly, by reversing back to the Malay language from the English language after being taught in English language for the last six years for the science and maths subjects.

Now the internet? China's a communist country and the gahmen thinks that the communist's method is much better.

No wonder the gahmen has provided another date (supposedly year 2020) to achieve the developed nation status allllllll the way to year 2057 (may not be for me to witness the glorious days), in case it fails to materialise by year 2020.

New House Before Renovation

Ahhhhhhhhhh at last my new house is ready and free of defects at this point of time. It took the developer one month to rectify most of it.

Then, wrote another reminder that I'll repair the rest if you don't finish the remainder within the next fourteen days. The effect? It was done within a week.

Got no choice to take this path as the toilets were having leaks above the plaster ceiling, apparently one of the pipings somewhere above burst.

I asked them, who was using the toilets when I haven't even shift in ......scary isn't it? Found out that it was the plumber who was testing the pipings. After testing, the other workers didn't know why there was leaking in the toilets. It took two strongly worded letters to get things moving.

Praise God, all fixed and hopefully it won't happen again.

My house is the second house, besides a corner unit.

The living hall and the dining hall just before the first wall on the right. Too cramp.

The picture looked so brownie and the need to bring in new colours is a must.

Thought of changing all the staircase railings but it will cost me a nuclear bomb ..... sigh

All these walls will go down as I'm having an open plan design. Dining area will be moved to behind the first wall, dry kitchen moved further back and wet kitchen will be the other corner.

The second floor will be my audio visual area. Lots of cablings in this area.

What sort of amplifier, speakers and wiring do you recommend? Budget in between RM5k to RM8k of course.
Will have my own study room (right hand side room) later on.

The view from my balcony overlooking the right hand side of my house. Those houses on the straight road belong to Phase 2. Mine is under Phase 2A and need to pay a bit more.

The house opposite of mine has a large garden compound. Good thing also that I have a clear space in front of my house.

The electricity being generated just across my home. Not too near and not far either. But I'll get my electricity current before my other neighbours???

Same goes with the water, maybe water pressure is better at my unit?

Could see the temporary homes of the Indonesian workers who are still constructing the Phase 3 houses. Safe for me to stay so near to them?

The look of the backlane. My unit is located on a higher area of the left. Will be extending my kitchen to the max.

Thought of extending first floor too but the need to submit an architect's plan ($$$$$$) and it's too time consuming awaiting for the approval from DBKL. Decided to forego the 1st floor idea.

The boom gate placed at the only entrance to the garden. The Phase 1 and 2 residents are organising a meeting with the developer and DBKL to put up a proper security entrance / guardhouse / perimeter fencing round the whole development. Currently, only zinc structures are being installed round the development.

Will be confirming the pricing with the Interior Designer and the renovation contractor by this week and green light for starting the work by next week. Have to push this through before I fly off again. They said that I could move in by early November. Sold my existing condo and hopefully the timing will be just nice.

Why hire an Interior Designer? At first I thought I could manage in imagining which colour scheme, what sort of room design and where to place certain things. The house was just too big to put the jigsaw puzzle together and I got lost. Rather than making a mess or having a clash of colours, I don't mind paying a bit more to solve it. Secondly, I'm out of the country most of the time, the ID person will also act as my project manager to monitor the daily work on my behalf.

Leo & Kujo Session

My two puppies became 'larger' lately. Their appetite are growing too, gulping larger portion of food.

Good thing they do consume white rice too, if not the cost of feeding them will be really high.

Leo chewing on a small piece of chicken bone much to his delight.

Playing time after meal.

Parent Action Group for Education

The Parent Action Group for Education (PAGE) met with several key PTA Chairmen or their representatives today at a closed-door session to brainstorm its next course of action.

Earlier, the Prime Minister had expressly stated that due consideration may be given to schools that desire to maintain the teaching of science and math in English (SMI) in their schools, either primary or secondary.

All schools that want to do so are advised to urge its PTA to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to agree to maintain the policy and to convert the status of the school from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) or Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) to SK(SMI) or SMK(SMI).

Failing that, parents are to initiate a signature drive to garner support for the cause indicating the name of the school, the name of the parent and the age of the child.

Meanwhile, PAGE urges the Ministry of Education to conduct its own studies as to which schools have benefited from the policy and which desire to maintain it.

Parents and stakeholders are also strongly urged to write to the Malay press (Berita Harian, Utusan Malaysia) seeking for the fourth option, that is, to maintain the policy in your school.

For secondary schools that want to retain the English option, you are encouraged to work with your primary feeder schools, to do likewise, to ensure the continuity of learning and to maintain the standards already proudly upheld by your school.

It is most important that PAGE needs to know the names of the schools interested. We need the numbers to succeed. Let us help each other out.

Copies of all EGM resolutions or signatures will be sent to PAGE for compilation and which will be forwarded to the Prime Minister in due course. PAGE may be contacted via email at pagemalaysia@gmail.com or visit our blog at PAGE Malaysia.

Thank you.

By Datin Noor Azimah Abdul Rahim, Chair
Parent Action Group for Education
--------------------------------------------

One school did convene such an EGM to decide on whether the school should maintain teaching Science and Math in English Language. Which school? In the EGM, the PTA of Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Damansara even changed the status of the school from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) to Science and Math in English (SMI).

97% of the parents voted for the school to continue with the English Language for that two subjects. I think the parents should have their say and not just leave it to the politicians to decide our young kids' future. Did the government seek the public's viewpoint before this?

The school or PTA will have to let the Ministry of Education know of their EGM outcome. Must be a slap on the face of the ministry. Will there be more schools conducting such EGM too?

Crazy Saturday Traffic

Was required to be at PJ Old Town this morning by 10.30am. When I got to the roads within my Taman Desa garden, I found that the traffic was a bit too heavy. The next thought that came was "don't tell me the roadblocks caused the traffic to overflow into my garden area?".

Very true indeed!

The moment I exit Taman Desa heading to PJ via Old Klang Road ("OKR"), the opposite traffic heading to KL was totally chaotic. My way of traffic going to PJ was also caught in it. How come? Traffic coming out from Kuchai Lama, United Garden and OUG into OKR stopped in the middle of the traffic junction causing cars heading to PJ unable to move across. Oh my ......

As my car crawled slowly heading to PJ Old Town, I noticed a police roadblock on the opposite traffic just after the Taman Sentosa traffic light junction. No cars were being stopped for suspicious characters.

In Malaysia or maybe in KL only???? the traffic on my side will slow down to see what's going on on the other side of the road. It was smooth right after I managed to turn right into Jalan Othman from OKR .... phew .... it took me almost one hour.

By the time I have to leave PJ Old Town, I headed back to the Jalan Othman roundabout. The traffic jam started from the town itself with no sight of the roundabout ...... my my. All because of that same road block. By the time I passed the roadblock, six police personnel just stood there beautifully (female police) and handsomely ....... no cars were stopped for suspicious characters too.

From there, I need to head to Happy Garden. Traffic was smooth till the OUG traffic light junction. Still as chaotic. Traffic heading down to KL literally stops right after this traffic light junction. My assignment done by 11am plus. Now to head back to Taman Desa. Few roads to take.

Exit via OUG traffic - out!
Exit via Pearl Point - out!

Exit via Kuchai Lama - the jam started from within Happy Garden itself right from the morning market area so - out too!

Exit via Kuchai Entrepreneurs' Park - I took the new uphill road to this area thinking it could be smooth ....... nope, the traffic jam started from the flats area - out!

Turned into the flats area and connected with the new road that is parallel with the new Putrajaya highway ..... yeah I'm smart I'm smart. No jam no jam all the way to the traffic light. I can connect to the Salak South highway and then up to the Federal Highway from there.

The moment I turned into the highway heading to Federal Highway, the jam started from there. How did the jam end up here??????????

It took me about twenty five minutes to turn into Taman Desa area.

Heard from friends about their experiences in other police roadblocks.

My conclusion on this police roadblocks - the police personnel were not looking for thieves or robbers today but are occupied with their best efforts in trying to identify common people who wants to go to the city centre to join the pro or anti ISA campaign.

Were the roadblocks successful? Total failure as news reported that up to 20,000 people managed to gather in the city centre causing total road closure. The roadblocks caused hundreds of thousands of people to be stuck for no reason when the people they intended to stop are already inside the city centre.

Did the police stop all the commuter trains, the LRT and public buses heading into the city centre? The roadblocks only delayed people heading into various places but it didn't manage to stop people from gathering for the campaign.

This is really crazy!
