The Kosmo newspaper published this piece of news just one day before two buy-elections on the following day which were to be held in Galas, Kelantan and Batu Sapi, Sabah. It quoted the Minister of Domestic Trade, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, saying that RON 95's petrol grade won't see a price increase for the rest of the year 2010.
Somehow, the government having won the two buy-elections on 4 Nov 2010 has renegaded on that piece of news. Well, exactly one month later, the RON 95 petrol grade's pricing was increased from RM1.85 to RM1.90.
