Trip Down South II

Desert land strewn across the large portion of Sudanese land. Villages do exist along the main road going down south. Some of those village houses are made of clay bricks only or covered with thick straws/haystack. When I mentioned clay, it's like made from water plus those muddy ground stuffed together into a square container made of wood.At the roads here, not only you have to watch out for the cows but also the donkeys, goats, lambs, camels. This lonely donkey walking taking its own sweet time, strolling on the main road. Twin Peaks??? It's actually the place of worship for the muslim community.

Living Christmas Tree

Choristers sing from a platform shaped like a Christmas tree during a rehearsal of the "Living Christmas Tree" concert in Osan, about 60 km (37 miles) south of Seoul on 19 December 2006. [source: China Daily]

Do you know when you do a Google Search on the words "Living Christmas Tree", you will find tons of christian websites offering that same performance or highlight.

The biggest party is not found in the Christmas Eve's parties all over the world. The celebration of praise is found in all churches' Christmas Eve or Christmas Day's services throughout the whole wide world.

Just to share a thought; even if I do not get out of Sudan alive, I know where I'll be heading to i.e. heaven with God. For those of you who are sitting in the comfort of your home, or intending to party till your body drop to the floor, consider this...... where will you be after death!!

Floating Bed

Architect Janjaap Ruijssenaars spent the last six years working on the development of a magnetic floating bed. The bed simply floats in the air, above magnets, can carry up to 900 kilos and is held in place through four very thin tethers.

Of course, owning the ultimate babe magnet will not come cheap: the scale model alone costs 115,000 euros, while the real deal is expected to cost as much as 1,200,000 euros. Crazy or what? Maybe some people like to show off that they are too rich or having the latest gadget.

You can find out more about this Floating Bed in Universe Architecture.

New Office/Home In Sudan

New office for the first 2 pictures. I'm seated at where the laptop is.

Guys' room. Shared with Nazril and we made our room as comfortable as possible where we have a 21" TV (for PS2) and 21" PC (for movies) too.

This 2 bronze antelopes were 1 of the many animals owned by the house owner. We have to put it in a cage at a corner as the 'resting antelope' gave a deep gash on my forehead while I bent down to pick up rubbish during cleaning of the house. Didn't notice that it's was so sharp.
As for tomorrow, there will be more pictures as I have just travelled from Khartoum to our project site which is 4 hours away, along the desert road.
