Vladimir Putin's Plane

Vladimir Putin - the Russian supremo. The President's office has commissioned an Ilyushin 96-300 jet to be re-designed and re-fitted at a cost of £10m (approx. RM68m). At this rate, it has already been mentioned that it's a ludicrous price and even leaving the USA's VIP airplanes way behind.

Malaysia also will be getting their latest toy, an Airbus A319 Corporate jet. Bought at a price of between US$40m to US$45m and to be re-furbished at a cost of US$10m by Jet Aviation in Switzerland.

As for Putin's jet, a Bristol based company, Diamonite, has been awarded the contract.

Gold-plated taps and shower in the bathroom.
Silk-covered walls in the plane.
Upholstered leather seats equivalent to those leather seats in an Aston Martin car.

Quilt of Holes

Before each of us laid our lives like the squares of a quilt in many piles; an angel sat before each of us sewing our quilt squares together into a tapestry that is our life. But as my angel took each piece of cloth off the pile, I noticed how ragged and empty each of my squares was. They were filled with giant holes. Each square was labeled with a part of my life that had been difficult, the challenges and temptations I was faced with in every day life. I saw hardships that I endured, which were the largest holes of all.

I glanced around me. Nobody else had such squares. Other than a tiny hole here and there, the other tapestries were filled with rich colour and the bright hues of worldly fortune. I gazed upon my own life and was disheartened.

My angel was sewing the ragged pieces of cloth together, threadbare and empty, like binding air. Finally the time came when each life was to be displayed, held up to the light, the scrutiny of truth. The others rose; each in turn, holding up their tapestries. So filled their lives had been. My angel looked upon me, and nodded for me to rise.

My gaze dropped to the ground in shame. I hadn't had all the earthly fortunes. I had love in my life, and laughter. But there had also been trials of illness, and wealth, and false accusations that took from me my world, as I knew it. I had to start over many times. I often struggled with the temptation to quit, only to somehow muster the strength to pick up and begin again. I spent many nights on my knees in prayer, asking for help and guidance in my life. I had often been held up to ridicule, which I endured painfully, each time offering it up to the Father in hopes that I would not melt within my skin beneath the judgmental gaze of those who unfairly judged me.
And now, I had to face the truth. My life was what it was, and I had to accept it for what it was.
I rose and slowly lifted the combined squares of my life to the light.

An awe-filled gasp filled the air. I gazed around at the others who stared at me with wide eyes.
Then, I looked upon the tapestry before me. Light flooded the many holes, creating an image, the face of Christ. Then our Lord stood before me, with warmth and love in His eyes. He said, "Every time you gave over your life to Me, it became My life, My hardships, and My struggles.
Each point of light in your life is when you stepped aside and let Me shine through, until there was more of Me than there was of you."

May all our quilts be threadbare and worn, allowing Christ to shine through! And so ye are blessed! God determines who walks into your life....it's up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go."

When there is nothing left but God that is when you find out that God is all you need.

Palm Sunday

Yesterday was Palm Sunday, a day where Jesus Christ rode on a donkey into Jerusalem city. The Gospels go on to describe how Jesus rode into Jerusalem, and how the people there lay down their cloaks in front of him, and also lay down small branches of trees.

Palm Sunday is a feast in the Christian calendar which falls on the Sunday before Easter. The The palm branch was a symbol of triumph and of victory, in Jewish tradition, and is treated in other parts of the bible as such (e.g. Leviticus 23:40 and Revelation 7:9). Because of this, the scene of the crowd greeting Jesus by waving palms and carpeting his path with them has given the Christian festival its name.

Post-It-Note Table

I'm sure you have used Post-It Notepads before. But having 5,000 sheets of Post-It Note as an office table is really unique. Imagine your table will get lower each week after many usage of the Post-It Note. You can scribble all sorts on your table and if you want a clean table, just strip off the first layer.

But it's not environmental friendly at all as more trees will be chopped down to meet such a demand. (source: Luxist)

Alternatively to help conserve the earth, the Post-It Digital Notes will come in very handy, paperless!

Monastery Life

ce monk arrives at the monastery. He is assigned to helping the other monks in copying the old canons and laws of the church by hand.

He notices, however, that all of the monks are copying from copies, not from the original manuscript. So, the new monk goes to the head abbot to question this, pointing out that if someone made even a small error in the first copy, it would never be picked up! In fact, that error would be continued in all of the subsequent copies.

The head monk, says, "We have been copying from the copies for centuries, but you make a good point, my son."
He goes down into the dark caves underneath the monastery where the original manuscripts are held as archives in a locked vault that hasn't been opened for hundreds of years. Hours go by and nobody sees the old abbot.
So, the young monk gets worried and goes down to look for him. He sees him banging his head against the wall and wailing, "We missed the "R" ! , we missed the "R" !"

His forehead is all bloody and bruised and he is crying uncontrollably. The young monk asks the old abbot, "What's wrong, father?"

With a choking voice, the old abbot replies, "The word was...
