China Government Can Determine Reincarnation

The China government is very powerful lately. They can determine when and where you will reincarnate (if you are able to in the first place, of course).

And before you can reincarnate, you have to seek China government's permission first. This rule only applies to the Buddhist monks in Tibet.

One of the reason the China government is doing this because the Dalai Lama has stated that he will not reincarnate back in Tibet. He's living in exile in India since 1959. What a leader! Away from home but yet could control the monastery in Tibet. And what a leader too, live in peace and harmony, leaving the trouble to those back in Tibet. Depends on how you look at it.

But this Dalai Lama said he has decided not to reborn in China as long as Tibet is under the China's control. Wow, what superpower that Tibetans have claimed to have 600 years ago. Imagine, he chose to be reborn elsewhere and the China government decides to appoint another one to take his place in Tibet.

Surprisingly, Buddhism scholars believed that he could be reborn amongst the 130,000 Tibetan exiles spread throughout India, Europe and North America. Interesting fact.

In Russia - "I don't know" Has Been Banned

In Siberia of Russia, any mention of the phrase "I Don't Know" or "I Can't" will bring you real far .... i.e. far out of the corporation or organisation that you are working for.

The mayor of Megion in the Khanty-Mansiisk has set this ruling that whenever a government staff was caught saying those words, or they would be requested to look for another job.

Following words/phrases have been listed with the list being on the wall outside the mayor's office:-

"What can we do?" "It's not my job," "It's impossible," "I'm having lunch," "There is no money," and "I was away/sick/on vacation."

If the 'I Don't Know' ruling is imposed in Malaysia, lots of working folks from the private and government sectors could be sacked. Not a good policy as even the Malaysian Prime Minister could be implicated as well. Better keep this ruling out of Malaysia.

Ghost Talk

Two ghosts met and both chat about how they died.
1st ghost : How u died?
2nd ghost : I died of cold.
1st ghost : How does it feel when you're dying in cold?
2nd ghost : Actually, I was imprisoned in the refrigerator. Initially, I was shivering, then my whole body started to freeze, later I felt the whole world was dark and I died. Fortunately, I died with not much sufferings.
1st ghost : You're so pitiful....
2nd ghost : How about you? How did u die?
1st ghost : I died from heart attack.
2nd ghost : I see, why did u have a heart attack?
1st ghost : Actually, I found out that my wife is having an affair with another man. One day, when I came back from work, saw a pair of man shoes outside my house. Then, I realized that the guy was in my house with my wife. When I rushed into the bedroom, my wife was alone. I must find where that b*****d is hiding. So I searched the toilet, I ran downstairs, looked in the storeroom, but the b*****d was not there. So, I ran upstairs and searched the wardrobe, but I found nothing. Because I was too tired of all that running,I got a heart attack and died.
2nd ghost : Why didn't you look for the b*****d in the fridge? If you did, both of us were alive now!!

Prague Sinfonia Orchestra's Concert

Was at the Plenary Hall of the KL Convention Centre for the Prague Sinfonia Orchestra's concert on Saturday night. Arrived early in the midst of a light drizzle. At 8pm, it was still early for the Saturday party revellers to gather at the nearby discos / pubs / bars at Jalan Pinang and Jalan P. Ramlee.

The Plenary Hall's entrance was on the 1st floor. Upon arrival, collected the tickets from the organiser and they enquired whether I wanted to have a copy of the night's programme book (at a donation of RM20) ......

ahhhhhh OK, why not? What a man (that must be in their mind) ...... hehehe leng luis asked that magic question so another RM20 departed besides the ticket price of RM80 (car park ticket was RM7).

I was told that the dress code was smart casual. When I saw the way people had dressed up, it was as if going they were going to a ball. Was there another function at another hall? The ladies were there to kill you with their dressing.

After getting the ticket, I went to the washroom. Was a bit blur blur and nobody was around as I was early and pushed open a door.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh. I saw 2 ladies' reflection on a mirrow. Goooooooooooooooood thing I haven't step in. Stupid washroom signages. The difference between the lady and gent's signages were hard to differentiate. Can't proof my innocence as I didn't take a picture of it. I wouldn't want to be caught holding my phone camera taking picture right in front of the lady's washroom. Sneaked away to the guy's washroom which was at the other end.

Yeah, you have one signage guiding you from the Plenary Hall but once you reached the pathway where you need to decide, right? left? Nobody was around, nobody went in or out of any rooms.....so I took a good guess

Was at the last row but not of the hall. They have partitioned off higher seatings section as the crowd would not be that big.
Not a good place from where I was sitting, last row for the night and the corner of it. The sound was not too bad after all though I would have preferred a louder volume.

Out came the Prague Sinfonia Orchestra team led by Christian Benda, who was bald at the top like the great inventor, Albert Einstein.....hehehe but the best part has yet to come.

There were two young couples in their 20s who sat in front of me. They were talking and laughing quite loudly and I didn't mind as the concert has not started.

But then just as the Prague Sinfonia Orchestra team members took their respective places, they played Malaysia's national anthem and it was just right to stand up, which everyone did, whether local or foreigners (lots of them indeed) in total respect.

One of girls (seated in front) then said this "Waaaaaaah, so patriotic one ah!"

The guy said something which I didn't hear.

Both of them were yakking away and giggling (loud enough) while the national anthem was being played.

Your Bangsa Malaysia guy here couldn't take it anymore, stucked my head in between both of them and in a low bassy voice said "Hello! Excuse me!!!!!"

From that time till the end of the performance, they were aware of my existence. First time attendees for an orchestra performance???

The music piece played by Min-Lee (in red dress) with her violin was absolutely marvellous and captivating.

The soprano singer, Irma Lailatul, gave a solid rendition of the 'O mio babbino caro', a song which was dedicated to the late Luciano Pavarotti.
The Prague Sinfonia Orchestra team acknowledging the praise from the audience at the end of the performance. If you are going there for any function, please bear in mind that the air-cond is in tip-top condition. I could withstand the coldness of it and now I know why so many leng luis walked out of the hall halfway. They were dressed to kill, not knowing that the air-cond was so powerful, and almost killed themselves.

Heard of the Sumatran Rhinos Rescue Project?

Sumatran Rhinos - part of the rhinoceros family also known as lesser two-horned rhino, hairy rhino; with a scientific name of Rhinoceros sumatrensis.

Today Honda Malaysia, as part of their community project, joined hands with WWF Malaysia (of course not the World Wrestling Federation), to start the "Save the Sumatran Rhino Project" in view of the decreasing surviving numbers (less than 300 left) of the Sumatran Rhinos which are only found in Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei.

Bloggers in the Nuffnang Community are giving back their time by contributing to this rescue project by raising awareness for such Sumatran Rhinos and highlight the Save the Sumatran Rhino Project.

We have to thank Honda Malaysia for their RM5.0 million (US$2.86 million) contribution for the next 5 years to help WWF-Malaysia by increasing forest patrol, purchasing vehicles/equipment, conducting surveys and further research and proper gazettement of forest to protect the animals' habitat.

How to Sell Your House at a High Value?

Now this is a picture (taken from Reuters), that shows a farm house surrounded by flood water form the Blanchard River cutting off all road access. But if you compare with the picture as below, you could sell off the property as an exclusive property, an island property that is.

You could also say that it comes with a full-size football field......wow..... but where's the jetty/helipad since it's a small island.

This was an island property put up for sale at a price of US$8.5million at Lavallette, New Jersey.

All depends on how you take those pictures for advertisement purpose.

UK Government Sued By Hindus in Malaysia

Did our Malaysian newspapers pick up this piece of news? A UK newspaper publication somehow got news of a new suit being filed at the British Royal Courts of Justice last month in a case related to alleged atrocities in Malaysia.......

HINDUS in Malaysia are taking the British Government to court for years of alleged atrocities.

P Waytha Moorthy is a solicitor based in Kuala Lumpur who filed a public interest litigation (PIL) at the Royal Courts of Justice in London last week (30). He now has three months to serve a notice to the Foreign Office for damages worth over £1 million for each of the country’s two million Hindus.

His move has been supported by Britain-based Hindu Human Rights (HHR), which organised a protest outside the Malaysian High Commission in London on Friday (31) to mark the country’s 50th year of independence from the British.

Mr Moorthy told Eastern Eye: “Ma­laysia supposedly became indepen­dent 50 years ago but the Hindus of the country have never experien­ced independence. They are denied the right to practice their religion, their temples are desecrated, they are forcibly converted and are subjected to unbelievable atrocities.

“The British Government must take responsibility for their treatment as these Hindus were brought into Malaysia forcibly as indentured labour during the British Raj in India. Before independence was declared for Malaysia, the British Government assured that the peculiar position of the Indians would be protected.

“But that never translated into action, which is why on the eve of this anniversary we have decided to file this case.”

The PIL is also demanding that the Malaysian Constitution be declared null and void, all Hindus be granted British citizenship and the Malaysian government be referred to the international court of justice and the international criminal court at The Hague for human rights violations against minority Indians.

HHR spokesman Arjun Malik added: “Already subject to heavy discrimination in employment, study and general walks of life, Hindus in Malaysia have begun to suffer in more specific ways. Hindu temples are destroyed and desecrated regularly with the full backing of the government.

“Hindus are denied the right to follow their own faith, and even in death, denied the right to a decent Hindu funeral. Forced into the economic and social margins, Hindus have become the prime victims of religious and racial hatred, which few commentators and human rights organisations even bother reporting on. This petition and our protest is aimed at drawing attention to their plight."
