Tight Schedule Lately

Friday was a bit rush at work and as colleagues were to come to work on Satuday morning and I can't make it in the morning, I might as well stay back on Friday night to finish whatever I can. By 10pm, stomach was calling for its best friend - food!

Went off and was surprised to see a jam along Jalan Tun Razak after 10pm. Maybe it was the muslim citizens making their way back home after their break fast meals or the night prayers during the Ramadan month. It was my turn to break fast (last meal was lunch time), it's my dinper now. What? What dinper? Well, a meal between breakfast and lunch is called brunch. Since mine was between a dinner and supper, I guessed it was dinper then.

Venue was Vitya mamak restaurant, no more a stall but a restaurant. Took a mee goreng and teh tarik besar. Cost me RM4.20.

Went home, attended to self need and relaxed in front of the tv to watch the Astro on Demand's The Drive of Life series for 45 mins. Thereafter, attended to some stuff for my friends' wedding tomorrow morning at church. Found one of the songs we wanted for the wedding. Another hectic day tomorrow. Have to be in church by 8.30am to prepare the place for the wedding ceremony that will commence at 11am.

Looks like I have to go back to office after cleaning up the church. Go to office, work, rush and then rush back home to prepare myself for the chinese wedding dinner at a restaurant along Jalan Imbi. I read in the newspaper that the road directions\ has changed at Jalan Imbi. Now I'm wondering which way is which. Should I come from Smart tunnel or come from the direction of Jalan Tun Razak/Jalan Bukit Bintang junction?

What a day it will be tomorrow.

Luxury Fish Bait for Fishing Trip

I do fancy luxury lifestyle at times, pampering oneself to those stuff that may cost you a bomb. I have known some rich friends who can just shop without looking at the price tag. Just put it at the counter and pay whatever the price quoted.

But when certain goods are overpriced, though I don't buy/use it, I will ridicule those stuff also.

I seldom go fishing but some friends do it quite often. Some will use ground worms (dug for it at their garden or some gardens). Some will get those tiny prawns. Some will go for a fake tiny fish. When rich people decide to go for fishing, they may go in their top class yacht with crews towing along, bringing their fishing rods and bait (hook it for them as well).

A company, MacDaddy's Fishing Lures, that specialises in fishing lure (so-called bait) decided to capture the rich men's market by producing various kinds of fishing lures.

To the extent, the company crafted a fishing lure that will make everybody's eyes popping out (burst out in fact) - weighing just over 3 pounds of glimmering gold (14-k and 18-k ) and platinum, encrusted with 100 carats of diamonds and rubies (4,753 stones to be exact). Just over 12 inches in length. It's called "The Million Dollar Lure".

Why that name? Because it will cost you US$1,000,000 for one stupid bait.

And the rich and famous will throw this fishing lure/bait down a river/pond/sea for the sake of their fishing hobby. This is really way way out. For those who do fish out there, I'm sure your bait did go missing sometimes, not once but a few times in one session.

Malaysia's First Astronaut

For sure this guy's name will enter Malaysia's Book of Records (for input that could not be 'inputted' into any other records e.g. Guinness World of Records ... hehe).

Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor (on the left) has already been selected for the space trp to the International Space Station ("ISS"). He will launch with the Expedition 16 group on a planned 10 October 2007. If you were to read his write-up in ISS, he's only a spaceflight participant ...... hehehe - what's the meaning? Only a tourist up there?

A nicer word instead of "he knows nuts"???

The other Malaysian back-up astronaut, Dr Faiz Khaleed, will be watching the launch then at the ISS Flight Control Room with saliva drooling of course. And when both of them are bored after a long training day, they will also blog - Angkasawan Blog.

Proud of them. It's not easy to push yourself through their tough space training programmes. Moreover, they are fasting during the Ramadan month.

But then how come Malaysia's major newspapers didn't publish this so-called big news. Apparently, our Prime Minister was so busy that he hasn't time to attend a function to announce this selection of the astronaut. Busy lah.... so many controversies lately.

Jose Mourinho is Gone

Wondering how are Chelsea fans feeling right now after enjoying 3 years of good football.

With their flamboyant manager, Jose Mourinho, leaving Chelsea abruptly it may dampen the motivation level amongst the players. I'm really looking to this coming weekend's match between Man Utd and Chelsea. What will Avram Grant implement with him being put in charge of the team temporary.

Jose issued a statement yesterday in view of his departure from Chelsea. If you read the statement, you will note that he didn't thank Roman Abramovich or even the management. He did mention that he was proud with his work at Chelsea.

He thanked the club supporters and players and most incredibly, his children's school teachers. What has the school teachers got to do with Chelsea???

Chelsea, Chelsea........... I sms'ed' a friend of mine, die hard Chelsea fan - "My condolence, Jose Mourinho has been sacked" early yesterday morning. Till now, no response from him ..... hehe

One of Malaysia's best football pundits, Serbegeth Singh aka Shebby, still dare to predict that Chelsea will beat Man Utd at Old Trafford this weekend. Let's see.

Outer Space Meteor Hit Peru

Scientists had long time ago predicted that a large meteor may hit the earth on 1 Feb 2019 and wipe out everything, making earth lifeless.

How big or how small should a meteor be in order for it to cause major damage to the earth or environment.

Few days back, a large piece of 'meteor' gave a good landing at Carancas, a town in Peru near the Andes mountain range. This will give scientists a good chance to conduct further studies.

Whether the scientists get to conduct a research, it depends on how dangerous can it be first in approaching such a 'meteor'. Residents living nearby the 'meteor' and those who had went nearer to have a closer look have been reported sick. Was the meteor toxic? Non-environmentally friendly?

Earlier investigations have prompted the Peruvian Nuclear Energy Institute to state no radiation had been detected and that it could not be a satellite part. The 'meteor' landing left a 30m (98ft) wide and 6m (20ft) deep crater. That's really huge!

New Job

A taxi passenger tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question. The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the footpath, and stopped few centimeters from a shop window.

For a second everything went quiet in the cab, and then the driver said: 'Look mate, don't ever do that again. You scared the daylights out of me!'.

The passenger apologized and said, 'I didn't realize that a little tap would scare you so much.'

The driver replied, 'Sorry, it's not really your fault. Today is my first day as a cab driver - I've been driving a van carrying dead Bodies for the last 25 years..........................
