Fake and Original Memory Cards

It's not easy to detect a fake memory card, neither is it easy to differentiate it if both fake and genuine cards were given to you. Industry players are at times caught with having received such goods too.

Even tho the fake memory cards could still function when you insert it into your mobile phone, PDA or camera, it will not last long as it's of inferior quality. Moreover such cards do not have warranty. Imagine storing everything important video, pictures or documents and suddenly it went kaput.SanDisk - fake memory card has faded red colour of its brand name. Some of the fake cards do not have serial numbers.Fake card's packaging - hologram is not there.Poor printing quality and alignment of label.

Jimmy The Aboriginal

A very rich man living in Darwin decided that he wanted to throw a party and invited all of his buddies and neighbours. He also invited Jimmy, the only aboriginal in the neighbourhood.

He held the party around the pool in the backyard of his mansion. Everyone was having a good time drinking, dancing, eating Prawns and oysters at the BBQ and flirting.

At the height of the party, the host said, "I have a 15ft man-eating crocodile in my pool and I'll give a million dollars to anyone who has the balls to jump in." The words were barely out of his mouth when there was a loud splash and everyone turned around and saw Jimmy in the pool!

Jimmy was fighting the croc and kicking its ass! Jimmy was jabbing the croc in the eyes with his thumbs, throwing punches, doing all kinds of sh!t, like head butts and chokeholds, biting the croc on the tail and flipping the croc through the air like some kind of judo instructor.

The water was churning and splashing everywhere. Both Jimmy and the croc were screaming and raising hell.

Finally Jimmy strangled the croc and let it float to the top like a K-mart goldfish. Jimmy then slowly climbed out of the pool. Everybody was just staring at him in disbelief.

Finally the host says, "Well, Jimmy, I reckon I owe you a million dollars." "Nah, you all right, I don't want it," said Jimmy.

The rich man said, "Man, I have to give you something. You won the bet.", "How about half a million bucks then?" "No thanks. I don't want it," answered Jimmy.

The host said, "Come on, I insist on giving you something. That was amazing. How about a new Porsche and a Rolex and some stock options?" Again Jimmy said no.

Confused, the rich man asked, "Well Jimmy, then what do you want?"

And Jimmy said, "I just want the name of the @$%&*# who pushed me in the pool."

Great Wheel of China

Nope, I didn't type wrongly and it's true that China will be putting a 'Wheel' too just like the one in Malaysia and similar with several wheels found in various countries.

This Great Observation Wheel of China will be the biggest in the world once fully constructed, scheduled to be completed by end 2009.

It will be at a height of 208m weighing 2,800 tons that comes with 48 capsules to cater for visitors. Each capsule could fit in 40 people which is like a normal public transport bus in Malaysia that seats 44 people. Just imagine how big is one capsule.

It seems that the Great Dubai Wheel and Singapore Flyer (which I have blogged about) are under the same management company Great Wheel Corporation, that will operate the Beijing Wheel.

New AIDS Drug by Merck & Co

After conducting certain drug testing through human beings in Africa, Merck & Co has finally won the Food and Drug Administration's ("FDA") approval on their AIDS drug called Isentress, an HIV suppressor.

It was mentioned that the first group of people to benefit from this medical breakthrough would be people who had went through Merck & Co's drug trials earlier. I hope Merck & Co would be responsible towards the African people as these are the people who won't be able to afford such expensive drugs.

The drug, Isentress, though considered a medical breakthrough will only be admired by many. The new drug will not come cheap at all. Merck & Co is trying to market the product at US$27 for a day's prescription or US$9,850 per year. Their intention is very good but it brings no meaning to those infected by AIDS especially the African people whose income level is way below the average. It's only catered for those who are able to afford it not the mass.

The police has said that they will not approve of such public gathering as the organiser has not submitted an application for it. Bersih has called for all people who wants to join in in their peaceful gathering to be in yellow attire for that day. I would say if you support their cause and can't be there, wear something in yellow just for that day. The organiser and others will walk to various parts of the city and end up at the King's palace where all this organisations/parties will hand over a memorandum.

The organiser together with the endorsees are trying to get 100,000 people to participate in their peaceful walk to the King's palace. What about the police permit? Is it necessary? Will this peaceful public gathering materialise? Let's see.

Which Sex is the Better Driver?

In my journey from home to office and back I tend to bump into some terrible drivers who are either careless, couldn't be bothered type or those learner or lady drivers.

Sometimes, I would stereotyped lady drivers that they are the terrible ones when they couldn't decide where they wanted to go or when they decide to do it, they did it there and then without signalling or expected you to stop for them. When some of these events happened, I tend to think - "it must be a lady driver".

A lady friend of mine was more than happy to send the following photos:-1) Car park exit (for Tanglin Shopping Centre) from right hand side of the picture.
2) The exit is on the left of the picture where the black coloured was.
3) The driver of the white car turned right after leaving the car park.
The main thing my lady friend wanted to highlight in these photos - the driver was a MAN!

Scouting Around for Video Shooting

In wrapping one of the dramas' video shootings, we were scounting around Taman Desa's pasar malam. A pasar malam is like a night market which is held weekly at a designated place in a particular residential area.

In this scene, we were trying to show the teenage girl's parents running all over the place looking for their girl who left home.

We were waiting for the right number of people to appear at the pasar malam and then show the parents on their toes, sticking their heads up, here and there, in the sea of people.

The mom (Susan) in black t-shirt and dad (Ritchie) first person on the right were just lingering around that spot while waiting for the crowd. Thank God yesterday night's weather was perfect.

While walking around, I saw this stall selling clothings and this big banner was hanging on the side of his van. A Liverpool banner!!!!!!!!!! Hello uncle, where's the Man Utd's banner??? I didn't ask about the price ..... if Man Utd's banner, I would have asked.

After the pasar malam scene, we went to a nearby food court. A continuance of the parents looking high and low. They ran towards a curry mee stall, whom the owner is known to the parents and enquired whether the stall owner has seen their daughter.

Yeah, I got the lady stall owner to be part of the drama. Later our cameraman and myself ordered 2 bowls of her curry mee (you call this a bribe or in support of her helpfulness?)

Guess this scene would make my church members baffled as to how did you get the food court people to participate. That's the fun part.
