Hollywood is at Los Angeles, USA where the highest acclaimed movies award would be the Academy Awards.

Bollywood is generally referred to India's numerous movies being produced annually. It's annual movies award would be the GIFA Awards (which was hosted by Malaysia last year)

Nollywood is the name given for the African Film Festival or Panafrican Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO) where it was held at Burkina Faso recently. A Nigerian movie entitled Ezra, directed by Newton Aduaka, has won the top award. It's a story about a seven-year old boy kidnapped by rebels and forced to fight in a civil war. Though no location is ever specified in the film, the story is based on the war that began in Sierra Leone in the early nineties.

Cameroonian filmmaker Jean-Pierre Bekolo won the Silver Stallion, or second place, for his film Les Saignantes, an erotic story set in the future of two women who try to win politicians' favor with their beauty.

Chad's Mahamat-Saleh Haroun won Bronze Stallion for his film Daratt in which a young man tries to find and kill the man who murdered his father. (source: Chosun Ilbo and BBC News)
