Golfer's Ball Used as Murder Weapon

A pro golfer by the name of John Henry Isenhour III could be charged for killing a hawk with a golf ball. Not that he was holding on to the golf ball and hit the hawk with the golf ball. He actually hit the golf ball with his golf club and it struck the hawk bulls-eye.

John was upset with the hawk for making noise during one of his golf instruction video shoot and when it landed 300 yards away on the golf course, he aimed a few shots at it. The hawk flew away but landed on the golf course again, 75 yards away this time. John took aim at this hawk with few more shots.

One in a million as quoted when his golf ball hit the hawk and it got murdered right on the spot.

That action caught the attention of the Humane Society of the United States that submitted a complain to the PGA Tour commissioner and he lost his practice privileges at Grand Cypress Golf Resort, the place he murdered the hawk. He had apologised since then. What a day!

So happened a colleague went past that same highway yesterday and he was caught in a massive traffic jam for hours. He has only seen this kind of accidents in a movie but not real life.

Great Singapore Search

They called it the biggest search that Singapore ever had. Much more publicity has been generated than the American Idol and all franchised Idols in various countries put together.

An Indonesian by the name of Mas Selamat Kestari, who has links to the Jemaah Islamiah, escaped after obtaining permission from prison wardens to go urine. Somehow, somewhere but actually nobody quite sure, how did he escape from a tightly secured Whitley Road Detention Centre that was meant for dangerous criminals.

As Singapore is Malaysia's neighbouring country, it's important for you to know. Who knows that you may bump into him while holidaying, working or shopping in Singapore or even in Johor Baru, Malaysia's southernmost city which is just across the border. As he was a dangerous criminal, you need to know how he looks like. We need to assist the Singaporean authorities in nabbing this terrorist.

A Singaporean blogger has made a simple 'fit your wallet' print out for your easy reference at any time. After disappearing for a number of days, he could have changed his appearance. Somehow the first face from the right (middle row) resembles someone I knew on TV shows. Phua Chu Kang???? Hehehehehehe. This is not laughing matter as it concerns you and your neighbours' safety. Singapore gahmen is turning the whole island country upside down just for one guy.

But according to Interpol, Mas Selamat may have fled Singapore already - Mas Selamat is said to know islands well, Interpol issues worldwide alert - Star.

Facebooker Jailed for Lying in His Profile

A Facebooker, Fouad Mourtada, living in Morocco has been sentenced to 3 years jail for putting up a Facebook profile as if it belongs to Moroccan royal family member, i.e. Prince Moulay Rachid, younger brother of King Mohammed VI.

Hey, I bet that Prince Moulay would have started maintaining 'his' facebook profile that was created by Fouad Mourtada.

Prince Moulay could have requested his elder brother, the King of Morocco to reduce Fouad's jail term provided that Fouad tells him the log in name and password for the facebook profile.

Now, is your facebook profile reflecting your personal stuff or impersonating someone else? His case was related to "alleged theft of the identity".

Known Moroccan bloggers did something which I was proud of, they suspended their blogging entries for 24 hours in protest. Well done Moroccan bloggers!

As for my Facebook profile, it's basically about me of course. I'm quite lazy in maintaining it. Will respond if someone added me as a friend or received a message. Whoever sends me those poke me here and there or those buy/sell a friend or any other software applications, I would usually ignore it. Maintaining it just to keep contacts with some friends (from primary/secondary schools) besides my church members / office colleagues / bloggers.

How Fast a Stolen Car Could be Changed

A stolen Porsche was brought into a workshop for transformation within hours of being stolen.

Ta daaaaaaa! A blue Porsche that could be transported out of the country easily or even driven in the public without being recognised.

Most Oldest People on Earth

When I tried to trace the country where it has the most oldest people, I did a search on Japan first and they were known for having the oldest living person at any one time. There would surely be one or two Japanese that is above 100 years old now. It's very rare indeed to locate such old citizens.

Human life span has shortened so much compared to those humans living during the Old Testament time as mentioned in the Bible. Methuselah was the oldest guy that lived for 969 years.

But then a particular country has surprised the world with their citizens' ages. Which one? Who else but my country, Malaysia.

In trying to get foreigners to adopt Malaysia as their second home destination under the Malaysia My Second Home Programme, part of the marketing strategy was to promote the long life span. Malaysia's lifestyle / environment has cultivated a group of senior citizens living beyond the average human life span.

If there were only a few then it could be pure luck but when you have more than 50 of them in one country then it's totally something to look at. Not only that, this group of Malaysian senior citizens won't be just sitting at home and hoping that they would be able to live one more day.

This group of Malaysian senior citizens of more than a century old and were born before 1900 would also be making their way to the polling centres around Malaysia on 8 March 2008 for the 12th General Election. Wow!!!!!

Don't believe ah????

Wikipedia has compiled a list of Oldest living people and Oldest people ever (115+). Comparing the Wikipedia's records and Malaysia's oldest man who is still alive and kicking at 127 years old, living in Taman Dato' Harun area and would be voting as well, the Malaysian has broken all World Guinness of Records.

Not only that, the next challenger who could break his record would come from Malaysia too. How do you verify that? Just key in the Identity Card numbers into Election Commission's website. Click here to see another 30 identity card numbers submitted in my blog's comment section by an anonymous person.

Found more of such senior citizens as mentioned in a political party's website. There are so many of such senior citizens. Malaysia must have good social welfare planning in anticipation of more senior citizens from now onwards. This is totally out of the world.

Find the Motorcycle

Can you find the motorcycle?

A picture is worth a thousand words.

The Honda rider was traveling at such a 'very high speed', his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Swedish Police estimated a speed of 250km/h (155 mph) before the bike hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection.

At that speed, they predicted that the rider's reaction time (once the vehicle came into view) wasn't sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 10 feet from where the collision took place.

All three involved (two in car and rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Stockholm Motorcycle Fair by the Swedish Police and Road Safety Department. The sign above the display also noted that the rider had only recently obtained his license.

At 250km/h (155 mph) the operator is traveling at 227 feet per second. With normal reaction time to SEE-DECIDE-REACT of 1.6 seconds the above operator would have traveled over 363 feet while making a decision on what actions to take. In this incident the Swedish Police indicate that no actions were taken.

In other words, they didn't even have time to say, 'Oh, ####!'

For those Malaysians who will be on the road going back to their respective hometowns during this Chinese New Year holidays, do drive carefully.

Crime on the Street

First hand account from a friend of mine who lives in sec 17 PJ.
Leonard.

There was an incident outside my house last night (Monday 14th Jan 08) about 10:45pm, in which a 6 knife wielding men surrounded a car and dragged the driver out in order to mug him.

The car had been sitting outside my house for about 10 minutes and the guys moved in once the driver cut the engine and prepared to get out. Due to the noise (there was a bang as they hit his car) and screams I thought there had been an accident and went out to see what had happened.

The combination of the gate opening right behind the thugs, light flooding the area, my dogs going wild and my foolish bravado as I approached and barked orders at them to leave the guy alone caused them to flee before getting anything.

Ok this is not a hero email....in retrospect I was putting myself at risk as I had no weapon but in these cases who thinks? The point I wish to make is this. The driver was reluctant to make a police report because the perpetrators were Malay and he believed the police would be biased against him. I have no issues with race when it comes to crime.

In my area I have seen Malay, Indian and Chinese gangsters at work so race is not an issue when it comes to crime. BUT it should NEVER be a reason for not reporting a crime. Once the driver was calmed down (about half an hour as it was a fearful shock) he went to the police station. There he discovered THREE others had reported the same scenario within half an hour, so a minimum of 4 attacks by the same gang in the SS2, Section 17, 13 and 14 areas.

Apparently 4 guys on bikes and 2 more in a car. I only saw the 4 on the bike as they skedaddled. He was lucky enough to have been the only one who lost nothing. Lessons to be learned:-

* ALWAYS report crimes. It helps the police know the hot spots. They do send armed patrols time to time to the worst areas.

* When naming race be objective. Many police are Malay and if you are sensitive to how you put this across I think you will find they are concerned that some bodohs are giving their race a bad name. We all have pride in our respective race and are annoyed at those of our own who pull it down.

* Be submissive when an armed assailant comes at you. Your life is worth more than billions of ringgit. Give them what they want.

* If you go past your house, or have left your car down a dark lane LOOK before going to it or before you unlock your doors. If in doubt, ie you see possible dangers it is best to go elsewhere and come back later once the potential threat has passed.

While I could throw in being aggressive chases them away I don't believe this was the case. They were caught by surprise and had no idea whether there were one unarmed guy or a whole hockey team coming out to beat the living daylights out of them. In retrospect what I did was stupid but at the time who can think.

Smoke Or Else!

I have heard of friends that they have to entertain their subcontractors or clients by bringing them to entertainment centres and then forced to drink along by them or even their own bosses/superiors. So, either you drink or you are considered non-complying with superior orders.

Well, in Buesum of Germany, there is this manager of a IT company who may want all his workers to smoke or else! Or else what?

Owing to the recent non-smoking rules being implemented in Germany, this manager may be afraid that three of his non-smoking staff may lodge a report against his company for breaching this non-smoking rules as the three staff have requested for a non-smoking working environment in the office.

Bear in mind that the manager and the rest of the staff do smoke. In order to have a perfect working environment for the rest of this staff, he sacked this three non-smokers. His reason for their sacking - non-smoking was causing disruptions.

The manager said "I can't be bothered with trouble-makers. Everyone picks on smokers these days. It's time for revenge. I'm only going to hire smokers from now on." I wonder what recourse this three staff would have after this uncalled for sacking.

Heavy Thunderstorm in KL

On Sunday afternoon, I was scouting around Happy Garden & Sri Petaling for a house after 2pm. I think it was around 2.30pm onwards, it started to drizzle and then heavy rain started to pour.

Not long after that, a heavy downpour came with strong wind blowing from one direction. I could see the rain being blown ferociously. Due to that, I stopped driving and rested my legs after driving around for one hour plus seeing that it was dangerous to drive in such a heavy downpour anyway. Lightnings were hitting all over the place.

The place where I stopped was without any trees but only an electricity pole nearby. I could see those rubbish bins' cover were flying all over the area. After noticing that the rain had simmer down a bit, I continued with my scouting.

Along the way I bumped into two trees which had been blown down onto the road forcefully.

The owner of this Hyundai Getz car would be crying when he/she comes out from the house later on. It was a hot weather before the heavy downpour so I guessed the car owner parked right under this big tree to avoid heavy sun ray.

At the nearby Desa Gembira condominium side lane, this tree just missed the Proton Wira because it fell onto the condo's perimeter wall. Without that wall, it would have crushed the Proton Wira.

So, now you trust me it was a fierce wind?

New Method of Crime by Snatch Thieves

Letter by Joyce Ho
We have been reading about snatch thieves incidents. I witnessed for myself today a new method adopted by them.

Please pass this on to friends - Alert them of this NEW METHOD adopted by snatch thieves.
I was driving along SS2/22, Petaling Jaya going towards Damansara Jaya. This street is totally residential one street off the main road.

About 10 houses in front of me was this young lady walking by a car parked along the grass patch outside one of the terrace houses. As she was reaching the rear end of this clean decent looking Silver Proton Waja, I noticed the engine started and the left rear passenger doors window was being wound down.

Suddenly a man emerged out of the rear passenger doors window his entire torso! and making a grab of this ladys handbag!!!! As this man emerged from the cars window, the Silver Proton Waja was pulling out of its parking position slowly not in a hurry with the man from within just dragging the lady and her handbag along until she gave it up!! Then they drove off slowly no hurry!!!

All the above happened in front of my eyes in less than 30 seconds!!!!!

Her screams and cries did not help! No one came to her rescue in fact a middle age woman ran into her house upon seeing this happening right in front of her house only to come back out to lock her gates after the car has driven away! Do you blame her? The thieves were so bold!!!!

By the time my car reached her, the Silver Proton Waja had turned the corner. She was very shaken but thankfully only slightly hurt her pants were torn as were her slippers bloody knees, shins, palms and elbows. On the way to the police station, she told me that she had noticed that there were 3 men she identified them as Malay men in the car.

I could not believe my eyes when I saw what was happening thus did not have the instinct to take note of the cars registration number. Ive always thought that would be the first thing I would look out in an incident like this but NO I was too shocked simply watching this scene being played out right in front of me!!!

So please beware when you are walking by parked cars with men inside. Pass this on to as many friends as you can to alert them.

Laptop's Harddisk Crashed!

Met a friend yesterday and he said that I must be very busy with the dramas till no time to blog the latest. I told him I was away to Genting on Monday/Tuesday and was in office on Wednesday.

The laptop started the day very slowly till I can't even load my emails. I could see 104 new emails but downloading from the server took ages. Turned it off and concentrated on my work and in between I turned the email on again but it slowed down my other softwares which I was working on.

By 3.45pm, I have completed my assignment and I went to my emails again and since it was slow, I decided to shut down the laptop. It jammed while shutting down and switching the laptop on was the real issue. Can't even read anything. Went straight to the IT Dept which said my harddisk has disappeared. Totally wiped off from the face of the earth! They asked what did I do to my laptop. Can't even detect my harddisk using whatever softwares they have.

The bad news - all my files, datas, 7GB of songs, pictures - ALL GONE! Sat at IT Dept, heartbroken. Sad. Nothing to say.

When I told my boss of the tragedy, he asked how come I didn't do any back-up. I told him my personal external harddisk of 80GB was gone 3 weeks back too, while using it in office. He kept quiet knowing that it was a real tragedy.

All my whatever files that you can think of while working in Sudan, pictures of my travels here and there (overseas and local) for the past 3 years, my Christmas drama scripts, my back-up of 7GB of songs are all gone.

On Thursday, IT Dept called me up to say that since my laptop was a goner they have gotten a new laptop for me. So happened that this new laptop was not allocated to any person yet. This is a surprise to me as an order for an office laptop may take few days as it required a number of approvals.

I got this new Dell Latitude D520 laptop now which is even more powerful than my previous one (a HP Compaq NX5000). A blessing in disguise? When I told my co-director and multimedia guy, they quickly responded by finding the next person with a laptop for our coming dramas.

But when I told them later in the day that I have received a new and more powerful laptop, the multimedia guy said all the while God wanted to provide me with a better laptop. Yeah, I told him BUT 'minus' all the datas in it.

Went for drama practise yesterday night and there was a HP Sales Manager in our midst. When I related the incident to the group, this lady friend said you must buy a HP laptop .......... hehehe. My co-director voiced out loudly saying that "His previous laptop was a HP!". So, I brought out my new Dell laptop and said "Hello, it was because of that incident, they decided to give me a Dell now" ........... she was looking for a hole to bury her face.............hahaha!

I have to start anew with everything, re-setting all the options again and re-collecting everything right from scratch, ensuring the right files are in place. Really time consuming and may not get some particular files that I wanted to keep for reference as well.

But I can tell you devil, nothing's gonna stop me from getting the Christmas dramas running at an even better performance.

Shopping During Big Sales

How often do you go shopping? Be it window shopping or actual buying of stuff you like. Do you go during Big Sales period or you rather shop with peace knowing not many people will patronise those shopping centres during non-peak period.

In Malaysia, during those Mega Sales during mid-year or end of the year holidays, you could sense how big is the crowd just by entering the basement car parks. Normally, I'll drop by Mid Valley for my stuff. But this megamall's car park is definitely not enough for the crowd that it could draw. My worst experience was 30 minutes going round and round.

During those Mega Sales time, you could every shops reducing their prices/giving discounts to clear their stocks in anticipation of the arrival of new stocks. You could see people thronging those lowly priced items but you would still be able to have a look or touch/feel that item to see if it suits you.

Well, in China, Carrefour in Chongqing city had a tremendous shock of their life. As known, Carrefour is famous for buying their goods in bulk which enabled them to sell it to their customers at a lower price. Carrefour displayed a notice staying that vegetable oil would be sold at 39.9 yuan instead of 51.4 yuan for a limited time, a savings of 11.5 yuan (only about US$1.50).

When the news leaked out, huge crowd started to gather for the opening of that particular Carrefour. Not knowing what to expect when the door was opened, the crowd pushed their way in and a stampede occurred. People were pushing their way through and started hunting down the vegetable oil.

End result:-
* 3 customers died
* 31 customers injured
* China government has banned sales promotion with time limitation

Bear in mind, even in a city like Chongqing their population could number a few millions. So, such tragedy if it happens could result in terrible stampede. Stay faraway from those Big Sales if China if you are there. You have no experience in handling such crowd......hehe

Rioting in France

BERSIH and HINDRAF's demonstration are so far peaceful and with proper objectives.

Really just hope that whatever rally or demonstration being called won't erupted to a free for all situation like what is happening in France now. Riots that begun at Paris has overflowed to Toulouse, a city at Southern France.

It has caused injuries to 80 police officer due to bullet wounds and the streams of flying objects such as stones, fireworks and petrol bombs. Wow, this is really crazy. Malaysia doesn't need this type of riots in order to deliver a message across to the gahmen.

Hopefully the gahmen listens well after the BERSIH and HINDRAF incidents. Act if need to but not to brush off their claims/requests. By quoting "Act", I was not referring to ISA detention or impose legal actions on participants but ask what was the root of it. Will the gahmen see this point?

Injured Left Hand

On a rainy Sunday afternoon, a guy was trying to open a gate in order to leave a building and upon the lifting of the left leg, this guy was already floating in the air.

Fast reaction prevented any unwanted facial injury as the hands reacted fast in blocking the fall. The left palm suffered laceration. The left elbow suffered acute pain causing worries in my heart - broken or fractured elbow? Oh no!

My friend who saw how I fell said I took off as if it was a 100m sprint but forgot to nail down my starting block (used for take-off by runners)...... hehe

Was sent to the Taman Desa Hospital by a friend in my car (became a passenger in my own car). Doctor on duty said "Come back tomorrow morning to see if there's any swelling. If there is, there could be a fracture. Since you could move your fingers/elbow, your elbow is not broken."

Morning came and left picture was a dressing done on Monday morning.

The doctor quite a number of twist on my elbow, some simple tests to determine whether there was any fracture.

"Any pain?" asked the doctor.

"As long as you are pressing against that particular part, I felt the pain, otherwise the movements didn't cause any pain." was my reply.

"In that case, your elbow is alright." said the lady doctor.

And the picture on the left was taken at 10pm Monday night. A swollen elbow.

Still ok????? See how again tomorrow morning. Felt tired on the left elbow region. That was the reason for quietness in my blog.

Michael Jackson's Dead?

News came from Santa Barbara, California — During a search for evidence at the Neverland Valley Ranch, investigators discovered a corpse that has been identified as that of Michael Jackson, Santa Barbara police officials announced Tuesday.

"Coroners have officially pronounced Michael Jackson dead. From what we can tell, he died between 18 and 20 years ago," forensic investigator Tim Holbrooke said. "We are not certain, at this time, who—or what—has been standing trial in that Santa Maria courthouse."

According to Holbrooke, Jackson's corpse was buried just inches below a stretch of the miniature-train tracks that run throughout Neverland. The largely desiccated corpse wore the remains of a red, zipper-covered leather jacket and a single glove.

"We positively identified the body as Jackson by his dental records and DNA," Holbrooke said. "But even before we conducted a single forensic test, we began to suspect that that we'd uncovered the real Michael, and that the disturbing figure claiming to be Jackson was a fake."

Holbrooke said that, although the corpse was in an advanced stage of decomposition, when investigators compared the body to early-career publicity photos of Jackson, they saw a striking resemblance in bone structure and facial features. But when they compared the body to photos taken after 1987, the resemblance was negligible.

"This discovery raises a lot of questions, but it also sheds light on a number of disturbing incidents," Holbrooke said. "Frankly, Jackson had been acting pretty strange."

Forensic experts and music critics are postulating that Jackson was dead before the release of the multi-platinum album Bad. Detectives are currently analyzing the lyrics to "Man In The Mirror" for any clues relating to a look-alike entity that many suspect murdered the youngest member of the Jackson 5 and assumed his identity.

"We believe that Neverland served as some sort of freakishly whimsical tomb constructed by Jackson's killer," Holbrooke said. "We also suspect that all of the iniquities that occurred on that ranch were the work of the imposter. I wouldn't have ever thought it possible, but we are looking at a situation where the sexual abuse of a 13-year-old cancer patient is the tip of the iceberg."

Holbrooke said that, while the living Jackson is the leading suspect in the murder investigation, he "could be another victim of some sort."

"Basically, we have no idea what type of creature we are dealing with," Holbrooke said.
A member of the investigative team that discovered Jackson's body described the experience as "otherworldly."

"As we neared the perimeter of Neverland, the dogs started whining and howling like crazy," Santa Barbara County detective Frank Poeller said. "We had to pull them into the house. When we got to Jackson's bedroom, one of them almost choked himself to death on his leash trying to get out through the window. Minutes later, the same dog led us to the corpse."

A representative from Jackson's self-created label, MJJ Productions, said he was not surprised to find out that the current Jackson is an imposter.

"When we were recording 'Heal The World' for Dangerous, I could tell something was terribly, terribly wrong," MJJ manager Luke Allard said. "Michael didn't seem like himself anymore. He'd demand bizarre food and sit for hours in a hyperbaric chamber. His appearance began to become more and more peculiar. Soon afterwards, he started wearing a mask and confiding in a chimpanzee."

"I remember thinking, 'This man has become a monster,'" Allard said. "If only I'd known how right I was."

Allard said he thinks that the imposter broke ties with Jackson's former friends and surrounded himself with children who were too young to notice the radical change.

Vanity Fair reporter Beth Pither visited Neverland in 1994.

"A strangely fearful staff member led me to Jackson, but ran off before I opened the door," Pither said. "Standing there with my hand on an ice-cold doorknob, I heard strange, unnatural sounds—leathery wings flapping, a sorrowful wail, and loud hissing. A wave of dread passed through me as I opened the door, but all I found was Michael and some kids in pajamas eating ice cream and watching 101 Dalmatians."

While their claims have not been corroborated, other Neverland visitors have reported that when when Jackson entered a room, lights flickered, faucets ran blood-red, and screams escaped from the walls.

To aid in the investigation, the FBI enlisted Dr. Richard Weingarden, a noted expert on the paranormal from UC Santa Barbara. After only two hours, Weingarden abandoned the project.
"The smell of sulfur, the decaying facial features, the bizarrely high-pitched voice—it sounds exactly like..." Weingarden said, trailing off. "I'm sure it's nothing. Not a big deal. Nothing to be terrified about, certainly. I have to go. I've got a family."

Thomas Sneddon, the prosecutor in Jackson's child-molestation lawsuit, said it remains to be seen how the shocking discovery will affect the trial.

Megan Gustafson, who left her post as president of the Akron, and Michael Jackson Fan Club after the singer was accused of molestation, offered a positive view of the grisly revelation.

"This is very disturbing news," Gustafson said. "But to be honest, it's kind of a relief too. Thriller and Off The Wall are really amazing records. Now I can pull them out of my 'ruined by child abuse' storage bin and start listening to them again."

“Panties for Peace” Campaign

You ladies out there who are reading this particular blog posting. If you had any compassion for the recent oppression by the military Junta in Burma (also known as Myanmar) on the monks or its citizens, you can play a part in protesting against such harsh treatment by the military Junta.

Activists based in Chiang Mai of Thailand has started a Panties for Peace Campaign where ladies will send their panties (whether worn or clean or those got holes in it) to Burma embassies throughout the whole world.

Liz Hilton, a supporter of the Lanna Action for Burma and a member of the Empower Foundation said this: “The people of Burma are doing what they can inside [the country]. We should do whatever we can outside. Most of us are not politicians, we are not powerful people. But women do have the power of their panties—let’s use that.”

You must be wondering of all things, why a lady's panties. Am I being sexist here? Well, according to a supertitious belief, the Junta members or military regime will lose power the moment they come into contact with those ladies panties.

Todate - Burmese embassies in UK, Thailand, Australia and Switzerland have received the panties. I wonder how are those embassy staff are reacting to it.

If you wanted to support this campaign, please browse for the embassy's address nearest to your place of stay. Ain't women fighting for women's power, now is the time to show your power.

Tioman Ferry Disaster

A ferry operator, Seagull Express, for the route from Mersing to Tioman Island was responsible for several human lifes when fire broke out on that ferry.

Insufficient life jacket, improper evacuation procedure and overloading contributed to the deaths and injuries suffered.

The unfortunate event of the fire onboard (left pic) caused 4 deaths and 3 still missing where the search would be called off on Friday if still not found.

Personally, I have not been to Tioman Island before but been to nearby islands for diving. Remembered seeing those long queues at the Mersing jetty waiting for such ferries.

I was not surprised that such ferry operator was still operating even though operating licence and passenger certificate had expired on 16 March 2006 and 18 March 2005. Such ferry operator only thought about the income/profit that they could reap off from the unsuspecting customers. Yet 2 days ago, the ferry operator claimed that they have complied with all licences. I propose that they be banned for life from operating such services again.

It seems that two ship inspectors from the Marine Department have been suspended from duties too. Another clear cut case of close on eye to the ferry operations??? These people were playing with human lifes. It seems that prior to departing the port, a clearance was required from the Marine Department. I always wonder why respective government agencies only take stern actions (checking all ferries in Malaysia now) when such tragedy had happened. Can't they be pro-active a bit. Buck up man!

The Star newspaper didn't report any negative statements but in this blog, the full account of what has happened when the victims' families requested to go out to the sea were not granted.

Blog is the way for the future as newspapers nowadays wouldn't report it (as they are under close supervision from the top).

The other licensed ferry operator, Bluewater Express, must be laughing all their way to the bank now as they would be the only one now. But you travellers beware as Bluewater is not that safe either as highlighted in this letter by a traveller who went through dangerous moments during her journey to and back as well. Just the same as Seagull Express and disaster waiting to happen too, as quoted by the traveller.
