I enjoyed the opening ceremony - it was grand and entertaining! I like the part where Li Ning was hoisted up and did some walking in the air round the stadium to light the Olympic torch. Yes Chinese love the number 8, although it does not mean prosperity in feng shui and astrology just like 4 does not mean death and bad luck.
i thot i heard li ning's name mentioned by the arabic commentator. so its confirmed now.
my, he's really old now. the last time i saw him was in his youth where he won golds in gymnast.

I did catch up with the grand opening ceremony of The Games. Somehow, I dozed off halfway on my parent's comfy bed. LoL. I wonder if there were any artistes' performances? I was expecting to see that the whole evening. hahah.
