Furthermore, this advertorial was placed in honour of a royal family's princess by the name of Raja Zarith Sofiah, for obtaining a degree from UTHO. In the advertorial, UTHO was so confused about Raja Zarith Sofiah being a male or female.

If this is the sort of english language that is being taught in Malaysia's current education system coupled with zealous politicians that were fighting for reverting back to Malay language for the Maths and Science subjects, then good luck.
For those zealous politicians, these are the type of english language that you wanted our students to possess and you have succeeded. Congratulations!

I even laugh looking at the way it is written
OMG! The whole article in the ad is full of grammatical errors! Worse than a primary std 6 kid who can write better than this! How come UTHO did not check the ad before submitting to NST? And I thought NST always scan through the ads before publishing them? So NST apologised which they rightly did, but UTHO should apologise as well. It's such crap coming out with something like that from a university!
borneo - its not laughing matter when u look at the future of m'sians
foong - there were some attitude problems in producing this advertorial both in nst and utho
OMG!! What was the editor doing? Did they just wake up one day and decided to humiliate themselves?
cc - pure lackadaisical attitude in that university
i can't even continue reading the article. i'm nowhere near perfect but that's what an Editor does!!
sky - i gave up on the editor as well
that's why only the top league universities should be called universities, not any kolej universiti, which literally is.. a U-Never-Study!
must be the professors are too low grade too!
I was applauded by the standards when they called me in for a professorship many years back and well thinking back, if I did, the place will sure tarnish my reputation.
durgh!

i saw this advertorial last month. it's a total disgrace indeed!
azrin - the professors' grade remain the same just that the govt pushed the status of the college to a higher level. unfortunately the level of wisdom stay the same.
ai ling - where we are right now is due to the bad choices made last time
